Who We Are


WHITE COUNTY PUBLIC TRANSIT

White County Public Transit provides demand response, door to door advance reservation transportation services within White County and those living in Adams and Jefferson Township in Carroll County. WCCOA/Public Transportation so anyone can ride. Riders must share the bus with others who are traveling at the same time and in the same direction.

WCCOA/Public Transit is Accessible Individuals with Mobility disabilities are Welcome to use wheelchairs and manually powered mobility aids, ie... Walkers, Crutches, Canes, Braces, or other similar devices designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. Individuals needing a service accommodation or modification must notify WCCOA/Public Transit of the request when making a reservation. WCCOA/Public Transit will attempt to honor all reasonable accommodation request.
OUR MISSION
It is our mission to provide the citizens of White County with safe, reliable, affordable and efficient public transportation

Transportation of children
An adult must accompany all children younger than 8 years old unless the child's parent/guardian has made prior arrangements
Portable oxygen/respirators
WCCOA/Public Transit transports individuals traveling with portable oxygen tanks and respirators. For safety reasons, portable oxygen tanks must be able to be secured.

Service Animals
Individals riding with service animals must control the service animal. Riders are permitted to bring Non-Service animals on board, however they must be caged.
FARE INFORMATION  "FARE SHARE"
 WCCOA/Public Transit does not have a fee for transportation services.  We rely on donations.  A suggested donation is a ($1.00) for trips around Monticello area and we suggest (.40 Cents) a mile for other trips.  Your donation  can be given to the driver or mailed to WCCOA/Public Transit.  Drivers are not permitted to make change or accept tips.
